She talks about her research into pre colonial africa, we talk so much about gender inequality, but our society was led by women. We talk about indecent dressing being a modern construct, but our women saw nothing wrong with laying their chests bare. We talk about same sex relations being against african values, but in a lot of tribes a woman could take in a wife.

Truth is, our people suffer from lack of knowledge. Our government and society has done such a good job of making us forget our past and history.
